Every student who auditioned received a part in the show. Most of them play several parts. Even the students who have been in previous productions have discovered new talents and abilities, going from being a background character to having a key role in the play.
Have you seen our costumes? Our students can tell you what it was like to learn how to wear costumes that could be worn for a movie. The boys are learning to tie Victorian style bow ties and to wear layers of dress shirts, vests, coats, ties, knickers, and long socks. The girls are lacing up and buttoning up the most beautiful dresses with flowing slips and underskirts, while also wearing bonnets and other hats. Take a look at these photos to see how two teenage boys are transformed for their roles of Scrooge and Marley.

One group that got a sneak preview of the show was moved to tears by Scrooge's transformation and gave the cast a standing ovation. "It's hard to believe these are teenagers, let alone teenagers at a treatment center," said one of the guests.
Pat Davis has returned to direct this holiday musical adapted from the Charles Dickens classic. Dean Murdock, who helped Pat with writing the music for this show, is joining us as the Music Director. We're excited to have Buddy Youngreen joining the cast as the Spirit of Christmas Present. Buddy directed our Spring production of "The Wiz."
Performances will be December 9th, 10th, and 12th at 7:00 pm in Heritage's performing arts center. Tickets are available at the door.
